Assist in Grocery List Preparation:
We discuss the meals they would like to prepare. We work with them on going through their existing food inventory vs. what they need for those meals. Create a list using our (pre-made inventory checksheet) of what they would like from the store, and any medications. We also use the grocery store discount card.


Grocery Shopping:
We pickup the grocery list at their home and review it with them. Discuss brands, sizes, etc. and make sure we understand everything needed. We go to the store, shop, and delivery back to their home the groceries and any medications. We unload the groceries and help put them away, if needed. We'll open any jars, bottles, medications, or containers they might need help with. We can also help organize and clean the refrigerator and pantry.


Fresh Food Checks (for spoilage):
We offer the service of checking the foods that spoil. We check meats, fruits and vegetables, and anything with an expiration dates. We toss anything expired or spoiled.


Errands:
We run any errand needed. Groceries, dry cleaning, pharmacy, bank, post office, Christmas shopping, birthday presents, or wherever they need something done. We'll pay for it, pick it up, deliver it, and bring back the receipts. Is it a bad weather day and need something done?  Do they have a cold and need Tylenol and some clear liquids? - give us a call, we'll go get it now and drop it by.

'Check in on them' Service:
We will come by and check on them anytime you need. If you haven't heard from them in a while and are worried - give us a call. We'll go right over and make sure everything is ok. If it's not ok, we'll get the help needed immediately. If you would like a scheduled check-in (2-3 times a week for example), we can do that. Want us to stop by and pickup their favorite magazine on the way, no problem.


Coordinate Appointments / Reminders:
We understand, some seniors need help getting appointments setup. Whether it's doctors, dentists, or other personal needs. We help set the appointments, then remind them the day before and day of. If transportation is needed, we'll coordinate that too. (We do not offer transportation though).


Mail Check / Bill Review:
We offer a review (with them) of the mail they receive. Whether it's organizing and reviewing bills to be paid, tossing scam mail, or clipping coupons. We also assist with writing checks and paying bills on-time. We can help save money, by making sure there are no late fees, or the utilities are not shut off due to late payment. If there are in-accuracies in bills received, we help coordinate these and can contact the customer service department ourselves. Unfortunately, many times seniors just pay the over-charged bill, never knowing it was wrong. We take the time to go through them in detail, and after a couple months know what to look for. 


Weekly Garbage Take-out / Cleanup:
We stop by and take the garbage out. We also come back by the next day and bring in the trash can or recycling bins. Between the weight of the garbage and chance of falling (ice/dark/uneven walkways), this is a risk few seniors should take. Let us do the heavywork.


Lawn Care and Snow Removal:
We coordinate with lawn care and snow removal companies. We'll call around in your area and negotiate the best deal. If they're not happy with the service they have now, we'll find a new one. And we'll find out if they are being over-charged.


Light Housekeeping:
We offer a light housekeeping service. This would be for: kitchen cleanup, bathroom counters and toilets, laundry, and vacuuming. If deeper cleaning services are required, we will coordinate a service for you.


Fresh Linen change:
For many seniors, arthritis is a problem. The simple task of changing bed linens is painful. We'll come by, strip the sheets, do the laundry and change the bed linens. While we're there, we'll open that jar of spaghetti sauce she has been trying to open.


Pet Care:
We offer a full line of pet care services. We'll take them for a long walk, conduct training, transport them to the veterinarian or groomer, or care for them while they are out of town. Our pet care assistant is an industry professional and owner of 'I Spoil Dogs.'


Coordinate Large Home Repairs:
We have a partnership with a local construction company. We did this to offer our customers a reliable services (both financially and quality), and avoid ripoffs. If it is something too large for New England Senior Services to repair, we'll coordinate it and oversee it. If you would like a couple of quotes to compare against, we'll coordinate that too.


Away from Home/Vacation Home Checks:
When they are away from home, we'll check on the house. Make sure the heat is working and on enough to prevent pipe freezing, take care of the pets, water the plants, etc. We'll stock the refrigerator and turn up the heat for the day of arrival. We'll do whatever is needed for them (and you) to rest easy, and know their home is safe.


Status Updates / Reports / Calls - to out of town family:
We offer a reporting service that we together can customize. We want you to be able to know as much as you'd like about how your loved one is doing. We write reports, call daily or weekly, create videos of them, or can get creative in other ways. We want you to know how they are really doing.


Organize / Clean Closets, Garages and Basements:
We'll go in and organize/clean closets, garages or basements. We'll eliminate trip hazards. We'll make them feel better about being organized again. 

Trash Dump runs:
We'll bring a truck over and get rid of some of those things that you have been trying to get to the dump.
